Apparantly not so daily ramblings
I went on a West Virginia Highlands Conservancy backpacking trip in the Roaring Plains / Flatrock Plains area of West Virginia and helped my parents move back to West Virginia from New Hampshire. I've also been trying to keep up with my research and train for a hilly, 220 mile, 2 day bicycle race in October. So, yeah, I've been busy.
Mel and I are going on another backpacking trip this weekend in the Mt. Rogers National Recreation Area of Virginia. We'll be hiking a small piece of the AT there and hopefully picking some ripe blueberries. Hopefully I'll have photos to share when we return.

The hiking/camping sounds fun. A 220 mile bike ride does not. Wild blueberries taste great, but are very tiny. They are much work to enjoy than chicken wings.
I once knew a girl who said she lived on the Mountain for a month. From what I remember, she said she had to live on nuts and berries for a week (maybe a day), so she all she ate was wild blueberries.
You need more posts. Slacker.
I think I saw Mel at the Texas game. Her face was painted red and silver, and she had big pom-poms. Alas, her support went unfulfilled.
Nah, Mel wasn't there. We played board games at home and didn't even watch the game on TV.
Posts are pending the start of the new Autumn quarter of classes. Too damn busy. I did some riding in Doddridge and Tyler counties this week. I'm riding 200 miles on the bike this weekend in preparation for the ride in October. I'll be sure to post regularly when I have to go to my office every day! :)
